Excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis, most commonly known as excessive sweating, from the hands, under arms or feet, may be a source of embarrassment or worry. Botox®, or botulinum toxin, is used to treat hyperhidrosis. This toxin completely blocks the transmission of a substance called acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter affecting the sweat glands. Sweating stops two to three days after the injection and the effects of Botox® can last for up to a year. Excessive sweating treatments can be repeated as needed.

You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately after treatment and the side effects are practically non-existent. What’s more, treatment is reimbursed by most private insurance plans and is now covered by public health insurance.
